The League is currently funding urgent provisions for patients returning home from a stay in Teddington Memorial Hospital, where there are no other options available.
Some patients who return home may not be in a position to travel a shop for the essential food items needed, such as tea, milk, bread, eggs, toilet roll etc. or be able to access money to pay for these items.
The League of Friends felt that by providing a small fund to cover these essential items, patients return to home would be made easier and without the worry of how to purchase such essential items. Allowing patients to settle back into their home environment and concentrate on their recovery.
