Jo Farrar, CEO of HRCH & Kingston Hospital, talking to The Friends of TMH

Jo Farrar, the Chief Operating Officer of HRCH (Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust), and Kingston Hospital kindly presented to the members and Trustees of the League of Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital at the AGM on Monday, 16 October.

A very interesting and informative talk. This is a video of Jo Farrar’s slides.

HRCH Strategy

Since 2021, HRCH (including Your Healthcare) has partnered with Kingston Hospital on our Better Together programme.

Leaders from both Trusts have come together to work across the hospital and community services, and both Trust boards have joined to form a Committee in Common.

We have developed a strategic case framing our preferred next step in the relationship between Kingston Hospital and HRCH (and Your Healthcare), that being the merger option, probably in the summer of 2024, with the subsequent aggregation of the Kingston community services.

Teddington Memorial Hospital

The national direction of travel is about moving services into the community.
We want to use our community assets best and offer a wider range of services from Teddington Memorial Hospital (TMH) and Teddington Health and Social Care Centre sites. (THSCC)

As part of our Better Together partnership, we have already enhanced the imaging and audiology capability and are exploring if we can provide more planned care (outpatient) appointments from Teddington.

HRCH and The Friends of TMH working together: what next
