A moving Remembrance Sunday service took place at Teddington Memorial on Sunday in the grounds of the hospital.
The Remembrance Service
The service started with a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, after which there were affecting readings and beautiful hymns sung. The Act of Remembrance included an extract from the poem ‘For the Fallen’ by Laurence Binyon.
They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn the
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
The last post was sounded, and a two minutes silence was observed.
