As we mark Volunteers’ Week 2025, there’s no better time to shine a light on the incredible individuals who give their time and energy to support the League of Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital, particularly those who work tirelessly in our hospital shop.
Welcoming Shop Volunteers
The shop is more than just a place to buy a drink, snack or a handmade gift. It’s a welcoming space run by a dedicated team of volunteers who bring a smile and help to make the hospital a friendlier place for patients, visitors and staff.
Our volunteers are the heart of the League of Friends. Many of them have been with us for years, quietly giving back to their community with generosity and kindness.
Whether it’s offering a listening ear to someone having a tough day, supporting NHS staff with much-needed snacks, or simply creating a cheerful atmosphere, their contribution is invaluable.
Funds Raised by the Shop
The funds raised through the shop go directly towards enhancing care at Teddington Memorial Hospital.
Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, we’re able to improve hospital facilities and support the well-being of patients and staff. Every item sold and every hour volunteered helps us continue this mission.
Volunteers’ Week
Volunteers’ Week 2025 is an opportunity to thank our shop volunteers and recognise the difference they make, day in, day out. Their kindness, commitment and community spirit embody everything the League of Friends stand for.
Thank you
To every volunteer, past and present: thank you. You are truly appreciated.
And to anyone inspired to join us, there’s always room for more helping hands; you’ll be warmly welcomed into a team that makes a difference.
