We are delighted to announce the Pain Clinic Naming and Art Competition winners, a celebration of creativity and community.
In 2024, the League of Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital invited local primary school children to get creative in a special competition.
Their mission?
To come up with a fantastic name and artwork for the new Outpatients Pain Clinic at Teddington Memorial Hospital.
The Woodland Suite: “Tailored care for every step”
The new outpatient clinic (the ‘Pain Clinic’) soon to open at the rear of the hospital has been named The Woodland Suite, a calming, restorative name chosen to reflect the peace and beauty of our surroundings.
Inspired by nearby Bushy Park, one of London’s historic Royal Parks, the clinic will incorporate local woodland themes throughout its design and ambience.
Each treatment room will be named after a tree species found in Bushy Park.
The Woodland Suite Services
The Woodland Suite will provide vital services to patients managing chronic pain. Hence, we wanted its environment to be as welcoming and therapeutic as possible.
With this in mind, we invited children from local primary schools to participate in a competition to help us name the clinic and its treatment rooms and to submit original artwork that could be displayed inside.

After reviewing many excellent submissions from the children, we’re thrilled to share the winning entries.
