For generations, Teddington Memorial Hospital has been an important part of our community, and today The League of Friends is looking forward to supporting the future of community healthcare.
As healthcare continues to evolve, Teddington Memorial Hospital also has an exciting opportunity to play an even greater role in supporting the health and wellbeing of local people.
The League of Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital is proud to be working increasingly closely with the NHS and local organisations to support the hospital and improve health and wellbeing in our community.
Bringing Healthcare Closer to Home
Across the NHS there is an increasing focus on providing more care within local communities, helping people stay healthier for longer and reducing the need for hospital treatment wherever possible.
Teddington Memorial Hospital is ideally placed to support this approach. By strengthening links with GPs, community services, voluntary organisations and local residents, the hospital can become an even stronger hub for prevention, wellbeing and recovery.
Investing in What Matters Most
The League of Friends has a long history of supporting the hospital through funding equipment and enhancing patient care. While that commitment remains as important as ever, our role is also evolving.
Alongside funding, we want to help bring people together, support new ideas and enable projects that improve health and wellbeing across our community.
Sometimes that means investing in equipment. At other times it means helping organisations work together to deliver something that would not otherwise happen.
Our aim is simple. To invest in initiatives that make a meaningful difference to local people and help create a healthier, more connected community.
Working Together
This next chapter will only succeed through partnership. We are already developing closer relationships with NHS colleagues, local charities, community groups, healthcare professionals and local residents to identify where we can have the greatest impact.
By combining local knowledge, shared expertise and community support, we believe we can help create services that are more connected, more responsive and more accessible.
Help Shape the Future of Community Healthcare
The League of Friends has supported Teddington Memorial Hospital for many years. Today, we have an opportunity to build on that legacy and help shape its future.
