Pain Clinic Naming and Art Competition
Hey there, children of Richmond upon Thames, enter our Pain Clinic Naming and Art Competition!

We need your help with naming our community’s new Pain Clinic and creating fabulous Pain Clinic art.

The winners will be invited to a celebration to reveal the new name and artwork, and each entrant will receive a Community Merit Certificate.

If you’re a local child living in or attending school in the Richmond Borough area and you’re between 7 and 11 years old (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6), you’re in luck! You can enter our art contest all by yourself, or your school can join in too!

Regents Park Run

We are excited to return to the incredible Regent’s Park run, in one of London’s Royal Parks situated in North-West London, for the Regents Park 5k and the Regents Park 10k.

Regent’s Park is home to ZSL London Zoo; you may even catch a glimpse of some animals along the way! The flat nature of the course offers a great opportunity for a chip-timed personal best!

Santa in The City 4th or 5th December

Santa in the city: Starting at 7:00 pm by the Tate Modern, run or walk the 5km festive fun run or walk! The minimum age is 8 years. All entries come with a Santa suit!

London Landmarks Half Marathon

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed-road, central London run. It is the only half marathon to pass through both the City of London and the City of Westminster.

The event is not your average half marathon! From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, runners explore the capital on a route like no other!


Transforming the Paediatric Areas

Together, let’s enrich care for every child

We’re supporting the revamp of the hospital’s paediatric and teen areas. Decorative upgrades in these areas can enhance comfort, reduce anxiety, and aid recovery, recognising the importance of the environment in fostering well-being during treatment.

Where every patient feels supported to reclaim their quality of life

In partnership with HRCH, we plan to support the patient experience elements of the Pain Clinic. We aim to help create an environment where patients feel understood, valued, and supported throughout their pain management journey. To fulfil this vision, we are fundraising to enhance the patient experience within the Pain Clinic.

A positive effect on inpatients and those with dementia

What is The Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital?

Vital charity support for our community hospital

A registered charity since 1954, providing essential support for the patients, staff and community of Teddington Memorial Hospital.

We enable and enhance the provision of medical services, facilities and general improvements above the NHS-funded baseline to ensure the hospital’s long-term future.

Over £8 million has been raised since our inception as the League of Friends in 1954, and still going strong!

Become a Member

As a member, you will be kept in touch with the Friends’ activities and projects to improve the hospital’s facilities and equipment and will be invited to attend and vote at the AGM and EGM meetings.

Become a Volunteer

Our volunteers help in The Friends shop in the hospital, fundraising activities, and raise awareness about the hospital and at local community events.

Volunteers are essential in enabling The Friends to maintain its services within the hospital.

  • further improve confidentiality and patient experience
  • enhance the type of treatment patients receive at our valued hospital
